Delicate, distinctly elegant and unusually abundant flowering plants that delight gardeners, cut flower growers and flowerbed enthusiasts with their structured foliage, gentle appearance and continuous blooming. The bright yellow China Aster from the W. Legutko breeding house is a premium quality variety that brings a warm, sunny and expressive cascade of lemon yellow color to the garden in the second half of summer and autumn. The plant boasts dozens of large, double flower heads, whose petals are thin, pointed and curled like elegant needles, creating an unusually light, airy and silky overall look. By its nature, this is a reliable and robust annual summer and autumn flower that perfectly withstands the vagaries of our climate. The carefully prepared 1g seed packet from W. Legutko guarantees excellent varietal purity and high germination, providing the opportunity to grow this exquisite and autumnal garden queen yourself.
🌱 Suitable for:
- Cut flowers and floristry: Thanks to their long, strong stems and unique needle-like shape, these asters are ideal for luxurious autumn bouquets, where they remain fresh in a vase for a very long time.
- Classic and mixed flowerbeds: The bright and pure yellow tone stands out visually against the garden background, serving as a striking accent between the end of summer and the calm tones of autumn.
- Group plantings and garden borders: When planted in groups of several plants, they create a dense, sunny wall of flowers that effectively fills the space after the earlier summer flowers have faded.
✨ Key advantages:
- Long-lasting and late flowering in the garden: This needle aster blooms steadily and continuously from July until the first serious autumn frosts, when other flowers have already lost their splendor.
- Excellent and strong bush structure: The variety boasts an upright, sturdy and highly branched habit, ensuring impeccable resistance to wind and rain, preventing heavy flower clusters from collapsing.
- Unique needle-shaped flower genetics: Each flower is like a small work of art – the long, delicate petals are arranged so densely that the bush always looks expressive, fluffy and visually clean.
- Generous packaging volume and germination: The 1g packet contains a large quantity of seeds, characterized by high germination capacity, ensuring strong, healthy and uniform seedling development.

⚙️ Cultivation instructions and recommendations:
- Sowing and seedling cultivation: Seeds should be sown in spring – from March to April in seedling trays on a moist, leveled peat base. Seeds are shallowly embedded (approximately 0.5 cm deep), gently pressed, and carefully sprayed with lukewarm water. The tray is covered with foil and germinated at +16 to +20 °C. Seeds germinate in approximately 7–14 days. Seeds can also be sown directly into open soil in early May.
- Pricking out and planting: When the young seedlings in the trays develop the first 2–3 true leaves, they are carefully pricked out into individual pots. Young plants are planted in garden beds in the second half of May, after the spring frosts have ended, maintaining a distance of 20x40 cm between plants.
- Location and soil selection: Asters prefer an open, sunny and warm location. The plant absolutely needs fertile, humus-rich, moderately moist and well-drained neutral soil.
- Care and most important rule: To avoid aster fusarium wilt, they should never be planted in the same spot where asters grew the previous year. The plant requires regular, moderate watering and soil loosening. To promote explosive and even larger flower development, it is recommended to supplement the plant with complex fertilizer in early summer.
