⚙️ Sowing instructions and recommendations:
- Soil preparation: Beetroots prefer loose, deeply tilled, fertile, and well-drained soil with a neutral pH (sandy loam or loamy sand). It is not recommended to incorporate fresh manure into the soil before sowing, as this can cause root deformation.
- Sowing time and depth: Sow seeds outdoors from May to early June in prepared furrows about 2 to 3 centimeters deep. The recommended distance between rows is about 25 to 30 centimeters.
- Care and mandatory thinning: Since beetroot seeds are naturally clusters from which several shoots grow, it is essential to thin out the seedlings after emergence. Once the seedlings reach a few centimeters in height, thin them out, leaving approximately 8 to 10 centimeters between plants, so that each beetroot has space to grow a large and heavy root.
