This elegant ornamental plant is specifically suitable for safe and stable cultivation in flower beds, cut flower gardens, and sunny plantings, ensuring straight, visually perfect, and strong flower stems. The plants grow unusually robust, strong, and boast smooth, ground-hugging leaf rosettes and sturdy, heavily branched stems that bear magnificent, paniculate inflorescences in a pure and bright yellow color. W. Legutko packaging guarantees excellent, professionally selected seed quality and maximum germination rates for a successful and generous start to the floristry and ornamental garden season.
🌱 Suitable for:
- Floristry and winter dried flower arrangements: This is one of the most sought-after dried flowers in floristry – its bright yellow flowers retain their natural color for years after drying, bringing warm and sunny accents to winter bouquets.
- Bright summer flower beds and borders: An excellent and noticeable color accent in any sunny flower bed, it pairs wonderfully with contrasting blue and purple flowers or ornamental grasses.
- Growing cut flowers and fresh bouquets: The sturdy, long, and well-branched stems make this variety ideal for cutting flowers and using them in fresh flower arrangements, where they remain fresh in a vase for a very long time.
- Landscaping dry and sunny garden areas: A perfect choice for gardeners who need to adorn areas with poorer, sandy soil where other more sensitive and demanding flowers would not survive.
✨ Key advantages:
- Pure, sunny, and expressive yellow color: This variety stands out with its bright and saturated yellow hue, which does not fade even throughout the summer in intense and direct sunlight.
- Flowers that never wilt or lose their shape: The unique botanical characteristic of statice allows them to retain their splendor even after complete drying, providing ideal raw material for winter floral decorations.
- Exceptionally sturdy and well-branched stems: The plant forms strong and durable flower stalks that stand firm against wind and rain, do not collapse, and securely hold the lush flower clusters in a vertical position without additional support.
- Unbeatable resistance to drought and heat: Due to its strong and deep root system, statice is highly drought-tolerant. It tolerates scorching sun exceptionally well and does not require frequent watering after establishment.
- High-quality seed germination and vigor: Professionally selected seeds from the renowned Polish manufacturer W. Legutko stand out for their high germination capacity, ensuring strong, uniform, and dynamic development of young plants.

⚙️ Cultivation instructions and recommendations:
- Soil selection and preparation: Statice requires a completely open, sunny, and hot location. The soil should be light, sandy or gravelly, well-drained, and moderately rich in nutrients. Overly fertile and wet clay soil will only promote leaf growth, making the stem weak and flowering poor.
- Sowing times and specifics: For early flowering and longer stems, sow seeds for seedlings indoors or in a greenhouse from March to early April. Sow seeds in seedling trays or individually in peat pots approximately 0.5 cm deep and maintain warmth (+18–20°C); sprouts appear within 10–14 days. Harden off seedlings and plant them in their permanent garden location in the second half of May after the spring frosts have ended, maintaining a distance of 25–30 cm.
- Care and watering: Young seedlings should be watered regularly after planting until they are fully established. Mature plants are highly drought-tolerant – additional watering is only necessary during prolonged and extreme summer heat periods, as excessive moisture can lead to root rot.
- Drying specifics (for Florists): Cut flowers for drying at the full flowering stage on a dry, sunny day. Tie the stems in small bunches and hang them upside down in a dark, well-ventilated, and dry room to dry completely without losing their sunny color.
