A high-value, exquisite, and legendary heirloom daffodil among gardeners, enchanting spring gardens with its unparalleled natural beauty and intoxicating, sweet fragrance. Narcissus poeticus recurvus(also known as the poet's daffodil or pheasant's eye) is one of the oldest and most reliable late daffodil varieties in the world. It produces elegant, snow-white flowers with unique, slightly recurved petals and a very small, flat central corona that boasts a bright yellow center and a distinct, fiery red edge. Top-quality 12/14 size bulbs guarantee maximum vitality, strong flower stalks, and reliable, abundant blooming in the very first spring. The generous pack of 5 bulbs provides the perfect volume for creating a beautiful, fragrant cluster of flowers.🌼 Suitable for:
- Naturalizing natural and wild-style gardens: This variety behaves like a wild flower – it is the best choice for planting daffodils in lawns, meadows, distant corners of the garden, or under fruit trees, where it will spread beautifully over the years.
- Fragrant flower beds: An excellent choice for gardeners who want to fill their spring garden with a distinct, strong, and romantic scent that can be felt from a distance.
- Premium cut flower bouquets: The long and exceptionally strong flower stalks make this daffodil a florist's favorite – cut flowers look unusually delicate in a vase and retain their freshness for a long time, filling the room with an exquisite aroma.
- Extending late spring compositions: As this is one of the very last daffodil varieties to bloom in spring, it is a perfect choice for extending the blooming season in flower beds when other spring bulbs have already finished flowering.
✨ Main advantages:
- Excellent and stable 12/14 bulb size: This is the largest and most valuable daffodil bulb caliber on the market, containing maximum nutrient concentration, guaranteeing a strong root system and large, healthy flowers.
- Unbeatable, intoxicating fragrance of poet's daffodils: Unlike modern hybrids, this historical variety possesses a distinctly strong, pleasantly sweet, and exquisite scent, highly valued by fragrance and aromatherapy enthusiasts.
- Perennial without annual digging: This crop can grow and bloom in the same place for decades. The bulbs do not need to be dug out every year, which significantly simplifies garden maintenance.
- High resistance to frost and garden pests: The variety stands out with excellent winter hardiness and is fully adapted to local climatic conditions. In addition, daffodil bulbs are naturally unappealing to rodents (voles, mice) and deer, providing reliable protection.
- Excellent seed and bulb germination: The bulbs are professionally prepared and calibrated, ensuring uniform and strong sprout emergence in spring immediately after the end of the winter period.

⚙️ Planting instructions and recommendations:
- Site and soil selection: Daffodils prefer an open, sunny or partially shaded spot in the garden. The soil should be loose, light, deeply worked, fertile, and consistently moderately moist (loamy or humus-rich soil). Neutral to slightly acidic soil (pH 6.0–7.0) is preferred. Unlike tulips, this variety tolerates slightly heavier and wetter soils, but standing water and complete boggy conditions, which can damage the bulbs, must be avoided.
- Planting depth and spacing: The planting depth of the bulb should be equal to three times the height of the bulb (for a 12/14 size, this is an average of 12–15 cm deep from the base of the bulb to the soil surface). The recommended spacing between bulbs is approximately 10–15 cm. For a visually beautiful and natural effect, it is recommended to plant all 5 bulbs at once in a small, dense cluster or "nest," creating a neat spring accent.
- Spring and post-bloom care: In spring, as soon as the first shoots appear, carefully loosen the soil around them and apply additional fertilization with a complex spring fertilizer (they respond exceptionally well to fertilizers containing potassium and phosphorus). Once the daffodils have finished blooming, it is essential to break off or cut off the old flower heads so that the plant does not expend energy on ripening seeds, but instead directs all its strength to the growth of the bulb underground.
- Leaf retention and division: After blooming, daffodil leaves and stems must not be cut or mown until they naturally yellow and wither (usually by the end of June). If daffodils are planted in a lawn, the first lawn mowing in these areas should only be done when the daffodil leaves have turned completely yellow. Since the variety grows in one place for years, every 4–5 years, the clump can be dug up in mid-summer, divided into new offset bulbs, and replanted in autumn.
📦 Storage until planting:
Until planting in autumn, store daffodil bulbs in a dry, cool (approx. +15°C), dark, and well-ventilated room, in breathable (paper or mesh) packaging. Protect from moisture and rodent access.
