A high-quality, exceptionally early, and outstandingly high-yielding hybrid radish variety of the round red type, which delights professional gardeners and home garden owners with its enviable uniformity, excellent market appearance, and superior quality. Celesta F1 is a world-class hybrid specifically bred for safe, stable, and continuous cultivation both in open fields and in plastic greenhouses or under agro-textiles, ensuring visually perfect, crispy, and uniform roots. The root vegetables are ideally round, strong, and boast a smooth, brightly shiny red skin and firm, snow-white flesh. Agrimatco packaging guarantees excellent, professionally selected and treated seed quality, as well as maximum high germination rates for a successful and abundant start to the spring and summer harvest season.
🌱 Suitable for:
  • Fresh spring, summer, and autumn salads: Due to its mild, distinctly juicy, and crispy taste, it is ideal for immediate consumption, slicing into fresh vegetable salads with cucumbers, greens, sour cream, or oil.
  • Commercial growers and bunching production: The compact, yet very strong leaf rosette ensures that the tops are firmly attached to the root, making this variety an ideal choice for easy and quick bunching of radishes for sale.
  • Healthy eating and spring detoxification: Early harvests are very low in calories, but rich in vitamin C, potassium, and antioxidants, which perfectly help regain energy after winter, improve metabolism, and strengthen immunity.
  • Fans of fast and continuous harvests: Thanks to its short vegetation period, this hybrid is perfectly suited for sowing in multiple successions (conveyor type) throughout the season from early spring until autumn.
Main advantages:
  • Does not go pithy or hollow: The hybrid's unique genetics ensure that even when reaching its maximum commercial size (3 to 4 centimeters in diameter), the inside of the radish remains dense, firm, juicy, and crispy, fully retaining its value.
  • Unbeatably attractive market appearance: Root vegetables are uniform in size and shape, with a distinctly bright, shiny coloration that does not lose its appeal even after washing and transporting the radishes.
  • High resistance to cracking and bolting: The plant has an excellent ability to adapt to changing weather conditions. It stands well in the bed, does not crack due to moisture fluctuations, and stably resists premature flowering in summer heat.
  • Excellent disease resistance: Celesta F1 boasts high genetic resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora), which guarantees healthy foliage and a clean harvest without excessive use of chemical agents.
  • Excellent professional seed germination: The seeds stand out for their high germination capacity and energy, ensuring strong, uniform, dynamic, and completely even development of young seedlings in the bed.

⚙️ Cultivation instructions and recommendations:
  • Soil selection and preparation: For radishes to grow juicy and round, they need loose, light, well-drained, and nutrient-rich soil with a neutral pH. In heavy, compacted clay or acidic soil, roots will develop slowly and may acquire an overly pungent taste.
  • Sowing times and specifics: A versatile hybrid that can be sown in a continuous succession from early spring (late March in greenhouses or April in open fields) until autumn (early September). Seeds are sown approximately 1–1.5 cm deep. The recommended distance between rows is 15–20 cm, and between seeds in a row – approximately 2–3 cm, to allow each radish enough space for ideal round shape formation.
  • Care and watering: To ensure roots grow tender, crispy, and do not crack, regular, even, and moderate watering must be provided. Soil drying out, followed by excessive moisture, is the main cause of radish cracking and bitterness.
  • Harvesting: Harvest selectively or all at once, as soon as the root vegetables reach the desired diameter. Since the hybrid is exceptionally uniform, most of the harvest matures simultaneously, which significantly simplifies harvesting and bunching.
📦 Storage:
Until sowing, store seeds in a dry, cool, and dark place, in their original and tightly sealed packaging. Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.
