High-quality, exceptionally productive, and perennial (wild type) professional arugula variety that delights gardeners and commercial growers with its immense growth energy, distinctive flavor, and excellent quality. Tricia is a top-class professional variety distinguished by dark green, intensely serrated and thick leaves that form a lush, heavy, and upright rosette. This wild-type (Diplotaxis tenuifolia) hybrid has been specially bred to ensure a maximum volume of first-class greens and an excellent market appearance for cultivation in greenhouses and in open fields from early spring to late autumn. Agrimatco's professional 1-gram packaging guarantees the highest seed quality, excellent calibration, and maximally high germination rates for a successful and secure gardening season.

🌱 Suitable for:
  • Professional and commercial cultivation: An excellent choice for those who grow greens for sale or restaurant supply, as this variety provides perfectly uniform, heavy, and attractive leaf rosettes that are easy to bundle.
  • Premium salad mixes and restaurant cuisine: The thick, distinctly serrated leaves serve as a stunning visual and flavor component in elite salad mixes, on pizzas, pastas, and for decorating Mediterranean gourmet dishes.
  • Continuous all-season harvesting: This variety is specially bred for wave-like cultivation throughout the season, providing a stable and consistently high-quality yield both in early spring conditions and in summer heat.
  • For lovers of intense and spicy flavors: A perfect choice for gourmands who prefer a stronger, more concentrated, and sharper aroma compared to regular cultivated arugula.
Key advantages:
  • Intense, nutty, and distinctly spicy flavor: Tricia leaves have a much richer, more concentrated, and spicier aroma with a pleasant mustard and nutty aftertaste that literally perfects any dish.
  • Excellent resistance to premature bolting: Unlike standard varieties, this professional hybrid consistently resists bolting even on hot summer days, keeping the leaves tender, juicy, and free from unnecessary bitterness for a long time.
  • Thick and durable leaves with long shelf life: The leaf structure is dense and firm, so the harvested crop retains freshness exceptionally well, does not wilt during transport, and is ideal for longer storage in the vegetable compartment.
  • Lightning-fast regrowth after cutting: This variety stands out for its phenomenal regenerative capacity – with regular leaf cutting, the plant immediately sends out new shoots, allowing for multiple rich harvests from a single sowing.
  • Professional seed quality and germination: Agrimatco seeds undergo strict calibration and laboratory testing, ensuring maximum germination energy, healthy sprouts, and strong development of young plants.

⚙️ Growing instructions and recommendations:
  • Soil selection and preparation: Wild arugula prefers an open, sunny or partially shaded location. The soil should be loose, light, fertile, rich in humus, and well-drained (sandy loam or clay-sandy soil). Before sowing, thoroughly dig up the soil, enrich it with compost, and completely clear it of weeds. It is advisable to ensure a neutral pH (6.2–7.0).
  • Sowing times and depth: Sow seeds directly in open ground or garden beds from mid-April until late August. To ensure a continuous supply of fresh, tender leaves for your table, it is recommended to repeat sowing in small batches every 2–3 weeks. Sow seeds shallowly, about 0.5 cm deep, maintaining a distance of 20–25 cm between rows. Seeds germinate very quickly. When the seedlings grow, thin them carefully, leaving about 8–10 cm between plants to allow space for the formation of strong clumps.
  • Care and watering: Provide regular, moderate, and consistent watering, especially during hot summer days and after cutting leaves. Complete drying of the soil can make the leaves too tough and bitingly bitter. It is recommended to regularly clear beds of weeds and gently loosen the soil between rows.
  • Harvesting: Harvest fresh, aromatic leaves gradually by cutting them with a knife approximately 2–3 cm above the ground surface when they reach about 10–15 cm in length. When harvesting, be sure to preserve the central growing point of the rosette so that the plant continues to successfully and rapidly produce new green foliage for subsequent harvests.

📦 Storage:
Store seeds in a dry, cool, and dark place in their original, tightly sealed packaging until sowing. Protect from moisture.
