This is a top-quality, medium-early, and exceptionally high-yielding hybrid table beet variety that is considered an unsurpassed quality standard among gardeners and professional growers throughout Europe. Pablo F1 is a legendary and consistently sought-after hybrid, known for its excellent uniformity, strong growth vigor, and superb market appearance. This variety ensures perfect root shape and excellent flesh structure regardless of changing weather conditions or soil type. The seed packet contains 250 precisely selected and calibrated seeds, guaranteeing maximum germination rates and a strong start for seedlings in the garden.
🌱 Suitable for:
  • Premium harvest in root beds: An excellent choice for gardeners and farms looking to produce visually perfect, smooth, and completely uniform beet crops with high market value.
  • Long-term storage and winter supplies: One of the best hybrids for storage – the roots perfectly retain their firmness, juiciness, and nutritional value in a cool cellar or sand until late spring without the risk of rot.
  • Home cooking, soups, and borscht: Due to their exceptional sweetness and color, these beets are the highest-level choice for traditional borscht, baking in foil, and preparing fresh salads.
  • Home canning and pickling: The dense and uniform structure of the fruit ensures that the beets ideally retain their shape in marinades, jarred salads, and processing.
Key advantages:
  • Perfectly round and smooth spherical roots: Beets grow visually flawless, uniformly shaped, with thin skin and a very fine, small taproot, significantly facilitating vegetable cleaning and processing.
  • Intense and uniformly dark red flesh: The inside of the root stands out with a deep, rich ruby-red color completely free of prominent, light woody rings, ensuring top-class quality.
  • Honeyed sweetness and excellent texture: Pablo F1 has a mild, naturally very sweet and juicy taste without coarse fibers or bitter nuances, which is particularly favored by gourmets and children.
  • Increased resistance to bolting: This hybrid stands out with excellent genetic stability and does not bolt even during cooler spring periods or sudden temperature fluctuations.
  • Precisely calibrated seeds: The 250-seed set ensures strong and uniform germination, providing the gardener with a confident spring start and protecting the crop from empty spots in the bed.

⚙️ Sowing instructions and recommendations:
  • Soil preparation: Beets prefer loose, deeply tilled, fertile, and well-drained soil with a neutral pH (preferably sandy loam or loamy sand). It is not recommended to incorporate fresh manure into the soil directly before sowing, as this can damage the roots.
  • Sowing time and depth: Sow seeds in open ground from May to early June in prepared rows approximately 2 to 3 centimeters deep. The recommended distance between sowing rows is about 25 to 30 centimeters.
  • Care and thinning: Once the seedlings have reached a few centimeters in height, thin the crop, leaving about 8 to 10 centimeters between plants, so that each beet has enough space and nutrients to grow a large and heavy root.
  • Watering: Water beets moderately but regularly, especially during the seed germination phase and during intensive root swelling in mid-summer. Maintain a consistent moisture level for the roots to grow as juicy as possible.
📦 Storage:
Until sowing, store seeds in a dry, cool, and dark place, in the original and tightly sealed packaging. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.
