High-quality, exceptionally vibrant and unusually abundant flowering annual dahlia (also known as georgina) flower seed mix, which delights gardeners and lovers of colourful plantings with its compact growth, great variety of flowers and superior quality. Miniature is a wonderfully selected low-growing mix, specially suited for safe and stable cultivation in flower bed borders, low group plantings, as well as terrace pots and balcony boxes, ensuring compact, visually perfect and strongly branched bushes. The plants grow neatly, bush-like, reaching only 30 to 40 cm in height, and boast smooth, dark green leaves and strong stems bearing magnificent double and semi-double flower heads. The packaging from Poland's leading brand Toraf guarantees excellent, professionally selected seed quality and maximum germination rates for a successful and generous start to the summer and autumn season.
🌱 Suitable for:
- Vibrant summer flower beds and borders: This mix serves as an indispensable and bright colour accent in the foreground of beds, creating a neat, low, and continuously flowering border around taller plants.
- Growing in terrace pots and balcony boxes: Thanks to its compact and distinctly dwarf growth habit, this variety is one of the most popular choices for planting in decorative containers and mixed flower pot compositions.
- Container gardens and balconies: An excellent choice for those who do not have a large garden but wish to enjoy the splendour of classic dahlias in a smaller space on a terrace or loggia.
- Long-lasting autumn beauty in the garden: Dahlias tirelessly produce new buds and bloom most intensely in the second half of summer and autumn, when many other summer flowers begin to lose their appeal.
✨ Main advantages:
- Amazing colour mix and splendid flowers (MIX): This seed mix provides a wide, bright and cheerful palette of colours in one packet (white, yellow, pink, red, orange and purple flowers) in both double and semi-double forms.
- Exceptionally compact, dense and symmetrical form: The plant independently forms neat, well-branched and low bushes (approximately 30–40 cm high) without additional pruning, which firmly withstand wind and rain and do not fall over.
- Incredibly fast and vigorous growth rate from seed: Unlike tuberous dahlias, this annual mix develops unusually quickly from seed and begins to flower abundantly within a few months of germination.
- Tuber formation for the next year: Although they are grown as an annual crop in the garden, during the season the plant forms small tubers underground, which can be dug up in autumn and stored in a cool place for replanting in spring.
- High seed germination and energy: Toraf 0.5 g pack contains a considerable quantity of relatively large seeds that germinate unusually quickly and reliably, guaranteeing a strong and dynamic start for young seedlings.

⚙️ Cultivation instructions and recommendations:
- Soil and site selection: Dahlias require a completely open, maximally sunny, warm, and wind-sheltered location. The soil should be fertile, loose, rich in humus/organic matter, and very well-drained. In heavy, cold, and impervious clay soil, the plant will develop slowly and bloom poorly.
- Sowing times and seedling cultivation: To ensure early and massive flowering, sow seeds for seedlings indoors or in a greenhouse from March to April. Sow seeds in moist substrate at a depth of approximately 0.5 cm and maintain a constant warmth (+18–20°C). Germination appears unusually quickly and uniformly – within 5–7 days.
- Seedling care and planting out: Once the first true leaves appear, prick out young seedlings into individual pots. To encourage bushiness and better branching, it is recommended to timely pinch out the tops of young seedlings above the 3rd or 4th pair of leaves. Harden off the plants and plant them out in their permanent location in the garden or outdoor pots in late May, when the risk of night frosts has completely passed, maintaining a distance of 25–30 cm.
- Watering and care: Dahlias require regular and abundant watering, especially on hot summer days and during the bud swelling phase (the soil should not completely dry out). To ensure continuous and magnificent new flower formation, old, faded flowers should be regularly cut off along with their stems.
