Top-quality, professionally packaged, very early, and exceptionally productive field and greenhouse cucumber hybrid variety (Claudine F1), which has become one of the most popular choices among gardeners throughout Latvia. This modern parthenocarpic (self-pollinating) hybrid from Agrimatco stands out for its excellent stress resistance, compact growth habit, and a very long, continuous production period. The fruits are visually perfect – they are slender, well-formed, dark green in color with fine, distinct warts and white spines. The seeds are professionally treated, ensuring maximum germination and seedling protection, making this set an indispensable choice for anyone who wants to achieve a premium-class crispy harvest.

🌱 Suitable for:
  • Premium class for canning and pickling: Due to their slender shape and dense flesh consistency, these cucumbers are perfectly adapted for canning in jars. After heat treatment, they do not lose their color and remain exceptionally firm.
  • For small gherkins and mini cucumbers: The variety is ideally suited for harvesting fruits when they are very small (already at 3–5 cm in length), when they are crispiest and ideal for "gourmet" marinades.
  • For growing in any conditions: Thanks to the self-pollinating system, they ensure maximum yield both in open fields and plastic tunnels, as well as in fully enclosed glass or polycarbonate greenhouses.
  • For fresh consumption directly from the garden: The fruits are juicy, crispy, and completely free of bitterness. Even if a cucumber accidentally overgrows in the garden, it retains its excellent taste and firmness for a long time.
Main advantages:
  • Parthenocarpic (self-pollinating) hybrid: Fruits set in clusters (up to 6–7 per node) without bee involvement, guaranteeing a harvest even on cold, rainy, and cloudy summer days.
  • Excellent and complex disease resistance: Claudine F1 shows very high resistance to scab and powdery mildew, as well as moderate resistance to cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). Plants remain healthy and green until autumn.
  • Fine-warted premium appearance: The dark green skin with fine warts looks distinctly professional and visually appealing in jars and on the table.
  • Treated seeds for immediate sowing: The seeds have already been carefully treated with protective agents that protect them from soil pests and fungal diseases during the initial germination phase.
  • Open-type bush for easier harvesting: Plants form moderately branched, clear bushes where fruits are immediately visible under the leaves, which significantly facilitates and speeds up harvesting.

  • Fruit parameters: Slender, dark green, finely warted, length 9–15 cm (weight approx. 85–100g).
  • Seed quantity per pack: 12 seeds (treated).
  • Distributor / Brand: Agrimatco Latvia (Breeder: Seminis / Monsanto)
⚙️ Instructions for use and care:
  • Sowing time and seedling cultivation: For growing seedlings in pots, sow in April; in greenhouse soil or directly outdoors, sow from mid-May when the soil temperature has reached at least +15°C. Sowing depth: 1.5–2 cm.
  • Planting scheme: When growing outdoors, the distance between rows is 80–100 cm, and between plants in a row – about 20 cm. If grown vertically on strings in a greenhouse, a density of approximately 3 plants per square meter is recommended.
  • Watering: Since the hybrid produces very intensively, it requires constant and even moisture. Water with warm (lukewarm) water directly at the root, avoiding wetting the leaves.
  • Harvesting: To prevent cucumbers from overgrowing and to maintain gherkin size, harvest regularly every other day. This will stimulate the formation of new clusters.
📦 Storage:
Store the seed packet in the manufacturer's original and hermetically sealed packaging in a dry, cool, and dark place until sowing. Protect from direct sunlight and moisture. Use by the expiry date printed on the back of the packaging.
