Top-quality, medium-early heterozygous hybrid variety (Hela F1), which is one of the most favored and reliable choices for outdoor cultivation. This professional hybrid stands out with exceptionally high productivity, vigorous growth, and excellent vitality, ensuring a consistent and abundant fruit ripening from mid-summer until September. The fruits are neat, long, and cylindrical, with an intensely green rind, medium-sized warts, and delicate, light stripes. These seeds are an indispensable and reliable helper for every gardener who wants to obtain a top-grade harvest for traditional winter preserves and fresh consumption.
🌱 Suitable for:
- Classic canning and pickling: This variety is exceptionally suitable for canning in jars – after thermal processing and pickling, the cucumbers fully retain their natural, vibrant green color and do not lose their attractive commercial appearance. [1, 2]
- Traditional fermentation and salting: A perfect choice for pickling – thanks to their firm structure and dense flesh, they do not soften in jars and barrels and retain their inimitable crispness. [1, 2]
- Fresh consumption and summer salads: Cucumbers are exceptionally tasty, juicy, and crispy straight from the garden – they are a great addition to daily salads, cold soups, or snacks at garden parties. [1, 2, 3]
- Home gardens and larger beds: Thanks to the hybrid's strength and reliability, the variety is equally suitable for beginners for their own needs and for experienced growers who value a high commercial yield.
✨ Key advantages:
- Genetically bitter-free: The fruits of this variety are naturally and genetically protected against bitterness, guaranteeing a pleasant, mild, and distinct taste regardless of weather fluctuations.
- No tendency to overgrow in thickness: Even if harvesting is slightly delayed, the fruits have a minimal tendency to grow too thick and become barrel-shaped – they retain a slender and symmetrical shape for a long time.
- Protection against yellowing: Hela F1 is distinguished by the characteristic that its fruits and processed products in jars do not yellow, stably maintaining an excellent visual appeal and the effect of freshness.
- Increased resilience and abundance: As an F1 hybrid, it shows good natural resistance to varying summer conditions and common cucurbit diseases, ensuring a stable harvest until autumn.
- Top-grade seed material: PNOS (RNOS) guarantees strict seed selection and high germination rates, ensuring strong seedling emergence and uniform plant development.

⚙️ Instructions for use and proportions:
- Soil and site preparation: Cucumbers need fertile, nutrient-rich, well-drained, and fast-warming soil. They grow best in a sunny, sheltered spot.
- Sowing time and depth: Sow seeds directly outdoors (in the ground) from mid-May to the first half of June, when the soil has fully warmed up and there is no longer a risk of spring frosts. Sowing depth: 1–2 cm.
- Sowing scheme (distances): The recommended distance between rows is 90–120 cm. Sow in nests of 2–3 seeds at each point every 15 cm. Later, thin out the seedlings if necessary.
- Watering and care: Ensure regular and moderate moisture, especially during flowering and active fruit setting. To accelerate germination, seeds can be soaked in lukewarm water for 1–2 days before sowing.
- Harvesting: Harvest fruits regularly from July to September. Frequent and timely harvesting of ripe cucumbers stimulates the formation of new flowers and significantly prolongs the overall production period.
