• Soil and site preparation: Cucumbers need fertile, nutrient-rich, well-drained, and fast-warming soil. They grow best in a sunny, sheltered spot.
• Sowing time and depth: Sow seeds directly outdoors (in the ground) from mid-May to the first half of June, when the soil has fully warmed up and there is no longer a risk of spring frosts. Sowing depth: 1–2 cm.
• Sowing scheme (distances): The recommended distance between rows is 90–120 cm. Sow in nests of 2–3 seeds at each point every 15 cm. Later, thin out the seedlings if necessary.
