Seklos.lt packaging guarantees excellent, professionally selected seed quality and maximum germination rates for a successful and generous start to the floristry and ornamental garden season.
🌱 Suitable for:
- Floristry and winter dried flower arrangements: This is one of the most elegant and delicate everlastings among florists – its pink flowers retain their natural color and romantic appearance for years after drying, adding delicate accents to winter bouquets and floristry compositions.
- Romantic and natural-themed flower beds: An excellent and eye-catching color accent in any sunny flower bed's middle or foreground, it pairs wonderfully with other summer flowers or delicate ornamental grasses.
- Cut flower cultivation and fresh bouquets: The slender, straight stems and attractive flowers make this variety ideally suited for cutting and use in fresh flower arrangements, where they remain fresh in a vase for a very long time.
- Greening dry and sunny garden areas: A perfect choice for gardeners who need to adorn areas with poorer, lighter soil where other more sensitive and demanding flowers would not survive.
✨ Key advantages:
- Delicate pink and rustling flower heads: Helipterums boast unusually attractive flowers, whose petals are actually dry, paper-like, and gently rustling bracts, creating a unique visual and tactile effect.
- Flowers that never wither or lose their shape: The plant's unique botanical characteristic allows the flowers to retain their beauty even after complete drying, providing ideal and long-lasting raw material for winter floristry decorations.
- Slender, straight, and strong stems: The plant produces elegant and robust flower stalks that stand firm against wind and rain, do not flop, and reliably hold the flower heads in an upright position without additional supports.
- Unbeatable resistance to drought and heat: As the plant has a strong root system, helipterum is highly drought-tolerant. It tolerates scorching sun excellently and does not require frequent watering after establishment.
- High-quality seed germination and vigor: Seklos.lt professionally selected seeds are distinguished by high germination power, ensuring strong, uniform, and dynamic development of young plants in the garden.

⚙️ Cultivation instructions and recommendations:
- Soil selection and preparation: Helipterums require a completely open, sunny, and hot location. The soil should be light, sandy or well-drained, and moderately rich in nutrients. Overly fertile and wet soil will only promote leaf growth, making the stem weak and flowering poor.
- Sowing times and specifics: Seeds for seedlings can be sown indoors or in a greenhouse from March to April, but helipterums best tolerate direct sowing outdoors in mid-spring (late April or early May), as they dislike root damage during transplanting. Sow seeds approximately 0.5 cm deep, and seedlings emerge within 10–14 days. Young seedlings are later carefully thinned, maintaining a distance of 15–20 cm between plants.
- Care and watering: Young seedlings should be watered regularly after sprouting until they are fully established. Mature plants are highly drought-tolerant – additional watering is only necessary during prolonged and extreme summer heat periods, as excessive moisture can harm the plant's structure.
- Drying specifics (for Florists): Flowers for drying should be cut at the very beginning of their blooming stage, as soon as the flower heads start to open (before the flower centers show pollen). Stems are tied in small bunches and hung upside down in a dark, well-ventilated, and dry room to fully dry, without losing their delicate pink color.
