Elegant and unusually profusely flowering plants that delight gardeners, cut flower growers, and flowerbed enthusiasts with their structured foliage, delicate appearance, and continuous bloom. Annual sunflower seeds for production from the Toraf breeding house are a top-quality variety created with the aim of providing a maximally abundant and high-quality harvest at the end of summer and in autumn. This variety boasts an exceptionally strong, sturdy stem and gigantic flower heads, enclosed by bright yellow ray florets. As the flowering phase concludes, hundreds of large, full, and tasty seeds mature in the center of the head, distinguished by their high nutritional value. By its nature, this is a reliable, very vigorous, and fast-growing annual summer flower that serves as both an impressive garden accent and an excellent crop. The 10g seed packet carefully prepared by Toraf guarantees high germination and excellent growing energy, providing the opportunity to grow this generous garden giant on your own.
🌱 Suitable for:
  • Obtaining valuable crops and food: This variety is specially bred for large, oil- and nutrient-rich seeds to mature in the heads, which, after harvesting and drying, are excellent for roasting or use in cooking.
  • Garden background and windbreaks: Due to their powerful structure and impressive height, these sunflowers are an ideal choice for planting along fences, hedges, or at the back of flowerbeds, where they serve as a natural, green screen.
  • Feeding wild birds in autumn and winter: If the flower heads are left in the garden in autumn, they transform into an excellent, natural feeding station that attracts and provides valuable food to local garden birds before the cold weather sets in.
Key advantages:
  • Maximum flower head size and generous yield: The variety is genetically engineered to develop flower heads half as large, guaranteeing the maximum possible amount of seeds from each plant.
  • Excellent stem strength and vigor: To support the heavy, seed-filled heads, the plant develops an exceptionally thick, fibrous stem, providing increased resistance to autumn winds.
  • Rapid growth cycle and low maintenance: The plant develops extremely quickly, reaching its maximum size in a short time, and does not require specific or complex care.
  • Generous amount of seeds per packet: The 10g volume provides enough seed material to plant long garden rows or create a substantial sunflower patch for harvesting.

⚙️ Growing instructions and recommendations:
  • Sowing and site selection: Sunflowers are sown directly into open ground in spring – from late April to May, when the soil has warmed up. Seeds are planted approximately 2–3 cm deep, lightly pressed down, and thoroughly watered. Seeds germinate quickly and evenly, usually within about 7–12 days.
  • Spacing and thinning: As this variety produces very large flower heads, plants require ample space. Young seedlings should be thinned, maintaining a distance of approximately 50x60 cm between plants, to ensure maximum light and nutrient access during seed development.
  • Soil requirements: The plant absolutely requires a completely sunny, warm, and open location. The best yield and largest seeds will be obtained in fertile, humus-rich, deeply cultivated, and neutral soil with good moisture levels.
  • Care and harvesting: Sunflowers need a large amount of water during their growth and seed formation period, so they should be watered regularly and generously during dry weather. To protect the huge heads from breaking, it is advisable to tie the stems to stable supports. Harvest is in autumn (September/October), when the petals have dried, the back of the head has turned yellowish-brown, and the seeds themselves are hard and easily detached.
📦 Storage:
Until sowing, store seeds in a dry, cool, and dark place, in their original and tightly sealed packaging. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.
