Dafne F1 is an achievement of Toraf's professional series line, highly valued by gardeners and professional growers due to the unparalleled uniformity of its fruits and excellent post-harvest durability. This hybrid stands out for its strong growth energy and ability to stably and abundantly set heavy fruits even in variable and unfavorable summer conditions. The package contains 0.2 grams of precisely selected and calibrated professional-grade seeds, guaranteeing maximum germination and strong seedling development.

🍅 Suitable for:
  • Growing in film and glass greenhouses: As plants have an indeterminate growth type, they maximize vertical space utilization, ensuring continuous and abundant yields throughout the season.
  • Outdoor cultivation with support: Successfully produces and ripens large fruits in garden beds under the open sky, provided a sunny, warm, and sheltered location from gusty winds is ensured.
  • Fresh consumption and daily salads: Excellent for juicy summer salads, burgers, and snacks, thanks to the fruits' fleshy, dense, and multi-chambered structure.
  • Local commercial sales: The excellent firmness, smoothness, perfect roundness, and great post-harvest storage of the fruits make this hybrid highly sought after for cultivation for sale.
Key advantages:
  • Smooth, uniform and attractive fruits: Tomatoes ripen visually perfectly, are round, and reach an average weight of 120 to 140 grams. They turn a bright, intensely red color and look exceptionally uniform across all clusters on the bush.
  • Excellent taste and aroma: The fruits have a pleasant, classic tomato sweet-sour taste balance with a firm and fleshy pulp structure that does not lose its excellent qualities.
  • Maximum resistance to cracking and spoilage: The firm and elastic fruit skin is very durable, effectively preventing fruit cracking due to sharp fluctuations in soil moisture and ensuring an excellent commercial appearance during transport.
  • Long shelf life (LSL type): This hybrid belongs to the category of tomatoes that, after full harvesting, can be stored and maintain their firmness, freshness, and taste properties significantly longer than conventional varieties.
  • Professional immunity package: Dafne F1 has pronounced genetic resistance to tomato mosaic virus, verticillium wilt, and fusarium wilt, as well as to soil nematodes.

⚙️ Growing instructions and recommendations:
  • Seedling preparation: Sow seeds in seedling trays or individual pots in March and April at a depth of about half a centimeter. Ensure constant warmth (+20°C to +22°C) and maximum light. When the first true leaves are fully developed on the seedlings, prick them out.
  • Planting out: Hardened young seedlings are planted in a greenhouse or garden beds in the second half of May or early June, when the risk of spring frosts has completely passed. The recommended planting distance is approximately seventy by fifty centimeters.
  • Training and support: As this is a tall variety, plants absolutely need stable support such as strings or tall stakes. It is recommended to train the bush to a single main stem, regularly and timely breaking off all side shoots or suckers.
  • Watering: Water tomatoes regularly, directly at the root, preferably in the first half of the day with warm, settled water. Avoid pouring water onto the plant leaves to reduce the risk of fungal diseases.
📦 Storage:
Store seeds in a dry, cool, and dark place in their original, tightly sealed packaging until sowing. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.
